London Flat

2006

The existing 66m2 two-bedroom top-floor flat on the edge of Notting Hill underwent total renovation.

Kitchen and bedroom swapped places and ceilings and roof lights were rebuilt to create a lofty dining area and hall.

A new floating white-oiled ash floor defines the front to back living area and improves acoustic separation to the flat below. Custom-built cabinetry in ash, white lacquer and resin-coated plywood provide storage and sculptural accents to the spaces.

The tiny bathroom was meticulously lined with wood - oiled birch ply together with salvaged Burmese teak for the wet areas - to create a luxurious sanctuary from the energetic chaos of London life.

Interior of a modern kitchen with wooden cabinets, open shelves, and a white farmhouse sink. There are various kitchen appliances, dishes, and ingredients visible, with a seating area in the background.
A minimalist bathroom with light wooden walls and ceiling, a small white wall-mounted sink, and a mirror above it. The door on the left matches the wood paneling, and there are two blue bottles on the shelf near the sink.
